WELCOME TO UGANDA PRIVATE TEACHERS UNION

A National Labour Union with a mandate to organize workers in private Education institutions/ schools for advancement and promotion of their socio-economic interests/ welfare through collective bargaining, negotiation and representation

Membership

The membership of UPTU is open to all workers both teaching and nonteaching staffs in private schools across the boundaries of Uganda, in the different categories is founder, individual and or honorary membership.

Our Programmes

Conducting regular and recurring organizing and recruitment of members into the union

Undertake collective bargaining AND programmes of representation, arbitration, grievance handling and litigation at the various levels of union operation

Education quality programming

Our Vision

A vibrant Education sector labour union capable of yielding desirable education results, articulating and handling issues meant for promotion of socio-economic interests of school workers especially in the private education sector
