The Union lobby for funds from members and support partners and extend the same as cheap credit to members for financing of their alternative income streams and livelihood.
UPTU already has a SACCO registered as Uganda Private Teachers Labor Union Savings and Credit Co-operative Society which is the economic arm and through which members financial needs and support services are made. Union members therefore can borrow at cheap and convenient rates, get financial literacy training and education purposed for improvement of their well being.
