The union, through its business arm under the Uganda Private Teachers Labour Union Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCO), extends accessible credit services to members. This is intended to improve member well-being and provide start-up or expansion capital for alternative income streams.
SACCO services include:
- Business and financial education and training.
- Affordable credit financing.
- Loan bondage bailouts.
- Beneficial linkages and synergies for members.
